If you’re in the midst of planning your wedding and you want it to feel like a dream…Christina & Michael’s day will definitely spark some inspiration! Their day was artistic and thoughtful, mixed with a boho vibe. I’m obsessed with how their vision came to life. Their personalities were in every aspect from their outfits to the venue itself. Below you’ll read a little bit more from the brides perspective about their day, advice, her experience and what they loved most about their day.
My advice for other brides would be to make sure you go with your gut and decide on things that you love. Don’t worry about the opinions of other people. It is your wedding! You want to look back on it having good memories of the day, not regrets about what you should have done instead. Also, putting thought and time into little details are what makes the day really special. I handmade a lot of my decorations and people thought I was crazy because of all of the time I was putting into it but it just made the day seem even more special and personal than it already was. Creating and making things is something I do to show people I love and care for them and I think people really appreciated how much thought was put in and knew that it was a work of love!
We loved how it felt like a family reunion almost. We were able to spend the entire day with family and friends and it was so special. With nowhere close-by to go between the ceremony and the reception, we got to hang out with our guests and they were able to socialize, play yard games, and get to know each other all while taking in the picturesque view of the lake and beautiful chapel.
Our experience with Hayley as our photographer was amazing! She is so easy going and down to earth. She has a warm personality and such a kind and gentle soul that makes you feel very comfortable. She captures emotions and feelings in the moment and pays attention to details you might normally miss. It will feel like hanging out with an old friend and you will just happen to get some wonderful photos out of it! It was fun to have her following us around capturing the candid moments and not having every picture super posed is what we love about her photography. You are really able to tell how people are feeling in the moment the photo is captured and it’s cool to see when looking back at photos. We also love how her editing style is more muted and doesn’t use such a high exposure. The end result is something that looks super warm and dreamy and makes you feel the love!
